Chromium
As chromium picolinate
The only amount printed on the label. Adults need 25 to 35 mcg a day, and blood sugar studies used 200 mcg or more.
Quick answerEach 1 ml dropper of Glyco Harmony holds chromium and a 22-ingredient blend.
Chromium is 0.7 mcg (2% DV). The 200 mg blend is led by maca, grape seed, guarana and African mango, with green tea, gymnema and Panax ginseng further down. Stevia and xylitol sweeten it.

Glyco Harmony lists 23 active ingredients: chromium, plus 22 that share a 200 mg blend in each 1 ml serving.
The cards cover the ingredients people ask about most. The full panel is on Glyco Harmony Supplement Facts.
As chromium picolinate
The only amount printed on the label. Adults need 25 to 35 mcg a day, and blood sugar studies used 200 mcg or more.
1st in 200 mg blendLepidium meyenii (root)
Listed first, so it is the largest part of the blend. Human studies of maca looked at desire and energy, not blood sugar.
Paullinia cupana (seed)
Guarana seeds contain caffeine. The label does not say how much caffeine a serving gives.
4th in 200 mg blendIrvingia gabonensis (seed)
One industry-funded trial used 300 mg a day for 10 weeks. A later review called its effects unproven.
7th in 200 mg blendCamellia sinensis (leaf)
A source of catechins. A review of 17 trials found small drops in fasting glucose at 208 to 1,207 mg of catechins a day.
8th in 200 mg blendGymnema sylvestre (leaf)
A traditional herb studied at 400 to 600 mg a day. Pooled trials show a small drop in fasting glucose.
12th in 200 mg blendPanax ginseng (aerial parts)
Most ginseng trials used the root at 0.1 to 8 g a day. This label lists the aerial parts (leaf and stem).
From licorice root
A licorice compound. Large or long-term amounts of glycyrrhizin can raise blood pressure and lower potassium.
Why the pack named only 6
The retailer pack named six ingredients: chromium picolinate, gymnema, African mango, green tea, maca and Panax ginseng aerial. The label lists 23. The pack left out guarana, grapefruit and the licorice compound, which each carry a safety point, plus seven amino acids and GABA. The label wins, so show it to your doctor or pharmacist.
Each 1 ml dropper gives 0.7 mcg of chromium, as chromium picolinate. That is 2% of the Daily Value. At 2 droppers a day, the total is 1.4 mcg.
Adults need about 25 to 35 mcg of chromium a day, mostly from food (NIH ODS, Chromium). So Glyco Harmony adds a trace, not a large dose.
Diabetes trials used 200 to 1,000 mcg a day. A review of 25 trials suggested benefit only above 200 mcg (Suksomboon et al., 2014).
Maca root is first in the blend, so it weighs more than any other blend ingredient. It can be at most 200 mg per dropper, and in practice less.
One trial gave healthy men 1.5 or 3 g a day for 12 weeks to study desire (Gonzales et al., 2002). There is no human evidence that maca helps blood sugar.
Yes. Guarana seeds naturally contain caffeine. Guarana is 3rd in the blend, so it can weigh at most 66.7 mg per dropper. The label does not print the caffeine amount.
The FDA says most adults can have up to 400 mg of caffeine a day (FDA, caffeine). Coffee, tea and soda count toward that. Timing tips are on how to take Glyco Harmony.
African mango seed extract is 4th in the blend, so at most 50 mg per dropper. One 10-week trial gave 120 overweight adults 150 mg twice a day (Ngondi et al., 2009). The extract's marketer helped fund it. A later review called its effects unproven (Onakpoya et al., 2013).
Green tea leaf extract is 7th, so at most 28.6 mg per dropper. A review of 17 trials used 208 to 1,207 mg of catechins a day and found small drops in fasting glucose and A1C (Liu et al., 2013). The label does not say how much of the extract is catechins.
Green tea extract pills have been linked to rare liver injury (NCCIH, Green Tea).
Gymnema is a climbing plant from India. In Glyco Harmony, its leaf extract is 8th of 22, so it can be at most 25 mg per dropper.
Studies of gymnema used 400 to 600 mg a day. A small placebo-controlled trial gave 300 mg twice a day to 30 people with impaired glucose tolerance (Gaytán Martínez et al., 2021). A pooled look at six studies found fasting glucose about 5 mg/dL lower (McKennon, Endotext 2024). More is on how Glyco Harmony works.
"Aerial" means the parts that grow above ground, such as leaves and stems. Most ginseng research used the root. The parts differ in makeup.
Panax ginseng is 12th in the blend, so at most 16.7 mg per dropper. Root trials used 0.1 to 8 g a day and found fasting glucose about 7 mg/dL lower, with no clear A1C change (Naseri et al., 2022). Ginseng can cause poor sleep in some people and may affect blood clotting (NCCIH, Asian Ginseng).
It is a compound made from licorice root. It is 18th in the blend, so it can be at most 11.1 mg per dropper.
In larger or long-term amounts, glycyrrhizin may push blood pressure up and potassium down. The NIH notes that even small amounts can matter for people with high blood pressure or heart or kidney conditions (NCCIH, Licorice Root). If that is you, ask your doctor first.
Also on the list: grapefruit
Grapefruit fruit extract is 11th in the blend, at most 18.2 mg per dropper. Grapefruit can block an enzyme that clears some statins and blood pressure drugs (FDA, grapefruit and drugs). Ask your pharmacist if you take either.
Federal rules say blend ingredients must be listed in order of weight (21 CFR 101.36). So the 8th ingredient can be no more than 200 mg divided by 8.
These numbers are ceilings, not amounts. The real amounts are not published.

These flavor the liquid and keep it fresh. No sugar is listed.

Two common preservatives that keep the liquid fresh once opened.
The liquid base, plus organic lemon extract, natural flavors and citric acid for taste.
Keep it away from dogs
Xylitol can be toxic to dogs, even in small amounts (FDA, xylitol and dogs). Store the bottle out of reach of pets.
Each lead ingredient's ceiling sits below the doses used in studies. The whole 200 mg blend is smaller than one studied dose of gymnema alone. Chromium, at 0.7 mcg, is under 1% of the 200 mcg studied dose.
A lower dose does not prove an ingredient does nothing. It does mean the studies do not describe this product. The full reasoning is on reading a 200 mg proprietary blend.
| Ingredient | Glyco Harmony (per serving) | Doses used in studies | Gap | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chromium | 0.7 mcg (1.4 mcg at 2 droppers) | 200-1,000 mcg a day | Under 1% of the studied dose | (Suksomboon et al., 2014) |

| Monoammonium glycyrrhizinate | At most 11 mg (22 mg at 2 droppers) | No benefit dose; a safety point | Small, but counts for blood pressure | (NCCIH, Licorice Root) |
Maca root extract is listed first in the 200 mg blend, so it weighs the most. Chromium is the only ingredient with a printed amount.
The label does not say. Gymnema is 8th of 22 in a 200 mg blend, so it can weigh at most 25 mg per dropper, or 50 mg at 2 droppers.
Yes. Guarana seed extract is a caffeine source. The label does not state the caffeine amount.
No sugar appears in the ingredient list. Stevia and xylitol sweeten the drops. The label makes no sugar-free statement.
Keep it away from dogs. It contains xylitol, which can be toxic to dogs.
The pack named only six headline ingredients. The Supplement Facts panel lists chromium plus 22 blend ingredients, and the label wins.
